Desta "Ultra-flat"

Hey WatchCrunchers, I've been exploring vintage watches lately and just picked up this Swiss-made, gold plated Desta Ultra-flat a few weeks ago. Finally came in today and I thought I'd share.

Not quite sure how they fit a mechanical movement in there, it's only 6.8mm thin!

Beautiful watch, it was love at first sight. Watches certainly were smaller back then. This one's 34mm and you can't even tell you're wearing it. The crystal is acrylic.

The gold plating is rubbed off slightly on the edges in places but it's hardly noticeable and I'm not going to touch it. The dial is perfect and the hands are in fantastic shape. I replaced the band that came with it (was likely the original) and stored it away.

I don't have an age for this watch, but the second hand is in the 6 position.

I'm still researching the Desta brand, and apparently it's a sub-brand under Tressa and sold in France. Feel free to share your related knowledge below, with my thanks in advance. I'll update this post as I discover more about the watch.

Cheers! 🍻
