Where can I get parts??

Hi all,

A friend of the family has had this pocket watch for some time, but it stops running after a few minutes. However when it's faced dial down it runs. Upon closer inspection the balance staff seems to be broken. However the the movement does not have a caliber as such so I have no idea where to get the part for it. Does anyone know how I might solve this problem??

TIA

Unless it's vintage it's most likely a Chinese mechanical movement and it might be cheaper to replace (Mount Royal PW are about 150 bucks) than to attempt getting it repaired.

I googled lightly and current models say "17 jewel hand wound" period.

I plunked that into Amazon and tell me if this looks similar.

That's automatic, but for cannibalizing, maybe?

Yes I suspected it must be Chinese, I just thought I'd ask in case there was someone who knew what the movement was based on. Thanks for your help.

Thanks, I might put it to my family friend and ask him if he wants me to give it a try. :)
