Hi all,
I recently bought a quartz tester, the unit will beep at regular intervals as in every second if the battery and the quartz are good. It also has a magnet that spins to rotate the hands at speed. This has proved to be a great tool, as I had a number of quartz watches that wouldn't run with new batteries in them. The magnet feature got some of them running again, as it works the wheel train around and freeing up anything that might have been blocking the mechanism. Or pulls back in some lubricant.
But I have two citizen quartz that do beep correctly on the unit with new batteries, and also I have spun the hands for several minutes, however they still won't run. Does anyone have any theories or experience in this area?
TIA
