First day with new Pelagos FXD - Model 25707B/22
I picked up this Pelagos FXD (MN22) from a local AD in Sydney today. I'd been to his store a month ago, naively assuming I could have a look at an FXD. He didn't exactly laugh at me, but he made it very plain it was highly unlikely I would see one from him this year - very popular and Tudor not giving him any. So, I was really surprised when he rang me last weekend. Tudor had given him one to sell, and he'd thought of me. Apparently he liked the way I talked about the watch and the questions I asked him last month, and he wanted the watch "to go to a good home". I have no idea how much all this is puffery - but it was fun. Anyway, I drove down the mountain today, two hours in the rain, to have a look at the FXD and ended up buying it. I had to promise I wouldn't resell it. No way I'm doing that - it's gorgeous. And besides, I want a long term business relationship with this guy.
This shot is with the fabric strap. My wrist is 7 inches. I am really surprised how well the watch sits and how light it feels on the wrist (while still being substantial). Don't let the 51mm lug to lug put you off.

What’s your impression with it so far? Looks like it wears well on your wrist for the type of watch it is. Any thoughts or preferences to the two included straps yet?

Im loving it. The count down bezel is great - I will be using it in a two day workshop I’m running on the weekend for timing presentations.
As for the straps I’m surprised. I was expecting to prefer the rubber strap, and it is very nice, but I’m preferring the fabric strap. More comfortable, more easily adjustable, and the watch sits tighter on the wrist. Also my wife thinks it looks smart :)
I’ve ordered a brown leather nato from Bulang and Sons to dress it up a bit as well.

I just got an FXD yesterday and it does wear smaller than expected. I had to check the stats to confirm 42mm -- totally feels/wears like a 40mm.
