What is that second subdial?

Hi everyone, I just came across this Zeppelin New Line automatic when I noticed it has 2 subdials. The 24 hrs subdial and the other one I couldn't  figure out on my own?

Could anyone please explain what this 10, 20, ... 60 subdial is? It is not for date obviously and not coinciding with the minutes hand, so it is not for the minutes either!!

Much appreciated.. cheers :)

Thanks, mate 👍

They wanted to clutter up the dial with the old euro small seconds and another overly large date dial. It would look better as a 3 hander with date window.

The movement only allows for that positioning. There are better movements out there in terms of positioning, I agree, but it’s based on an open heart design, so it was “doomed” as a concept from the start if you were going to put the crown at the 3 o’clock position. Sometimes you do have to wonder who actually signs off on these for the various brands… can I read the watch? No? Ok let’s ship it to production, good job team, let’s go back to the pub!
