San Martin makes such a homage watch. I would go with them.  I got the Steeldive Willard homage and it had QC issues, in particular the crown.  But SM quality is consistent. You will be pleasantly surprised.

I would go with the Seiko 

I got the SD first,  then just picked up the Seiko today as i got a good sale price.

Ive had 2 SD willards a green on and the black neither had issues.

I've heard SD and SM are very similar probably come from the same factory

Yeah, because there's only a handful of factories in China, huh?
