New Watch from Staudt

I fell in love with this watch and the Staudt brand a few months ago. A young brand from the Netherlands where you can also bring in your own wishes, such as special dials, text and logos.

The movement looks like a variation of the ETA 6497. I have a Seagull ST36 clone based watch that looks very similar if not, a little more dressed down.

Yes, you are right, looks like it is based on this ETA/Unitas movement

It’s a 6498. The 6497 has the small seconds in line with the crown. The 6498 has the small seconds offset by 90 degrees.

Very nice. I like the thickness of the case and the sub second hand at the 6 o'clock. The extra dimension of the dial also sets it off nicely.

I also really like the height of the case. On the arm it looks even flatter because it also presses a little into the arm. In everyday life, the hands particularly catch my eye, so thin and filigree.
