First automatic true gmt

This just came in today my Boldr Odyssey Freediver gmt. At 44mm in diameter this watch is a little larger than what I generally buy but at 12.5mm thick the size works well.

The bracelet is very nice with screwed links and 6 levels of micro adjust. The watch also comes with a fitted rubber strap that also looks great.

With a unidirectional rotating lumed bezel.

This is a great looking watch and I like the Miyota 9075 gmt movement, which is almost visible through the illustrated display caseback.

Nice! I was looking for a coke bezel and this would have been a great option - apart from being a bit big for me!

Thanks, yeah it’s a little bigger than what I’d normally wear, but I kind of like that.

Enjoy your new acquisition! The 9075 is awesome! I’m enjoying my new pickup that has one in it!

There were three things that turned me off about Boldr’s watch, which has some very cool design elements, like the date porthole and semi transparent dial and caused me to go with the Zelos Mako GMT instead:

  1. The 44mm diameter. 42 is generally about as big as I like to go.

  2. The unidirectional bezel. For the proper GMT experience, that watch should have had a bidirectional 48 click bezel.

  3. The INTENTIONAL scratch/crack design in the clasp. This is actually the biggest offender to me.

Yeah that 3rd one almost put me off a really strange design choice that I don’t get. I can live with the rest though. I don’t think you can go wrong with Zelos how are you finding it?

Love it! I was worried about the thickness, given that it’s technically 1mm thicker than my Black Bay GMT, but so much of that height is in the crystal (about 3.5mm) that I really don’t notice it on wrist at all.

Completely understand. For me it was seeing a 90s GMT Master II Pepsi Bezel in the flesh that made me hanker for one
