Yo or no to Omologato?

I've seen lots of Omologato tweets in my Twitter feeds due to the fact I follow a lot of motorsports. I don't know much about their watches though, and a quick search here on WC reveals little.

Does anyone have any experience with these watches and if so, what's the verdict? Yes or no?

No idea…at first it sounded like a cross between an omelette and an alligator. Then I looked it up and it was founded in 2015…yet in all this time there aren’t many reviews anywhere on the watches. Curious.

I like the looks of the Panamericana and they used to have a Reims model (which doesn't show up on their website now) which was attractive, but I hear little about them outside of the motorsport realm. It's the same with TW Steel (WRC sponsors).

They have some cool designs for sure, I’d be curious to learn more about them and their business🤨

That's a big 10-4!! Great racing inspired watches and chronos. I think the PanAm seires are the coolest looking👍

I have two Omologato watches in the collection...why did I buy two?

Not really sure since I wasn't really happy with the first one which arrived in defective condition. I think the Gulf livery on one and the famous F1 Monaco Pool design got me.

My watchmaker fixed the defective watch, but the owner of the company was a complete tosser when I contacted him about the problem with the watch. He tried to convince me that it was OK that the chronograph hand did not reset to Noon. Complete dumbass. Glad my watchmaker was able to correct the problem.

Here are the two I own...

My suggestion is only buy if you really like the design and if you can get a significant discount from list...these watches are way overpriced at list, but a 25-30% discount puts them in the right price range.

Some look to have a Seiko VK64, 3 sub-dials, that’s pretty expensive for a watch with that movement. You might also look at Forzo, they seem a little nicer to me.
