NWA - Norqain Wild One Blue

For about a year or so I have been considering entering micro independent brand territory but nothing really spoke to me. I also decided if going that route it should be something different and in material I currently don't have ( Ti or composite ) in my collection but still mechanical ( have 2x G-Shock already ).

After looking for some Ti and/or composite watches in last year or so Norqain was one of few I really liked ( design, story, materials, construction, movement ... ). But as prevailing comments on diff platforms said despite good reviews - great watch but a bit too expensive.

I agreed with that completely aldough upon inspecting app. 10-15 watches ( mostly mainstream brands ) there was not much to consider at lower pricing, closest thing was Doxa Sub 300 ( also "expensive" at 4.000€ and quite thick ) and Formex ( not digging the design and brand name ). Tissot Sideral and Squale are toys compared to mentioned three above, not to mention Blancpain bioceramic gimmick watch.

Slowly I gave up on this project and was ready to wait more time until something pops up, either viable watch or great deal. And second thing happened 2 days ago while waiting on airport to return home from business trip. Multiple brand AD had great discount on Norqain and after some additional negotiations I got a deal I simply could not pass.

I must say the watch as some reviews mentioned surprised me in positive way. Build quality is really good and the feeling while wearing it is top notch - not to light and best rubber band sub 10k€. The indecies and hands are finished suprebly and change colour under diff angles. The 3D dial is not too busy as some might assume based on photos and rubber strap fits the watch perfectly. Movement is COSC Kenisi/Tudor BB no date 70h PR but without silicone hairspring and has 200m WR. Materials used are from renowned Swiss manufacturers that produce parts for RM, AP and others high end brands and you can feel it.

I know it is not a watch for everybody and definitely polarizing ( mainly due to high price ), has JCB marketing flare around it ( looking like Hublot a bit but in this case the side bumper material is for shock resistance - so they say ) but I like it a lot, it suits my lifestyle/needs and will fit into my collection of mostly oddball choices perfectly.

Great choice! I got my Norqain in December and am very happy with it. I went with one of their Adventure Sport Chronos, I was after a new Chronograph and it just spoke to me. Those Wild Ones do look fantastic though.

Congratulations on a great watch. I bought my Wild One in Khaki Green in October 2023 and I absolutely love it. It has essentially become the every day watch in my modest 3 watch collection

Enjoy!
