The Roberto Clemente Oris Big Crown Pointer Date

A gorgeous damsel of a watch! Purchased this piece to fill up the "Rugged Everyday" vibe watch in my mid- tier luxury watch collection. As my watch collections revolve around price points and life phases, this one hits the middle ground very sweetly, with only 3000 pieces made worldwide.

I have to say, the executed colourway on this piece is spot-on with gorgeous gold numerals and a beautiful silver dial. With a tastefully crafted solid cashback depicting the man himself, Roberto Clemente, this is truly a masterpiece from Oris. My only gripe with the watch? I wished they used a higher grade Selitta movement as that would be in keeping with the elevated status and elevated price point of this limited edition Pointer Date compared to the regular lines.

I'm currently in the midst of surveying strap options for this beauty, any suggestions from the crowd? Would love to hear them!

Great looking watch! Been seriously eyeing the most recent 38mm big crown myself. In terms of strap options have you considered something with a bit of texture - perhaps like a wool herringbone strap? I think it would be very fitting for the winter months into Spring. Here is a nice one: https://www.thesydneystrapco.com/products/windsor-wool-herringblue

Dear sir, thank you for your kind comment! The 38mm iterations are indeed beauties with gorgeous dials. And on another note, thank you very much for the strap recommendation! I've never seen that before, will definitely give it a shot😁💪🏽

I've owned my Oris watch for over ten years now, and I can honestly say they're bullet proof.

I'm pretty clumsy, and my Oris, as my daily watch has taken some knocks that other watches would not have survived.

Ahh I see! My apologies as well, I wrongly  interpreted your comment. And yes, the pointer date complication is indeed beautiful 😍💪🏽
