Yes I would. Probably not the popular vote but I much prefer the day date. It's entirely subjective of course!!
I'm not a fan of either, but the AP in that colour has more presence imho. However, that you're asking the question probably gives you your answer.
As much as it pains me to type this as a Rolex DJ owner, I’d hang onto the AP. It’s more utilitarian and functional and also more likely to hold its value over time (AP will consistently produce fewer watches than Rolex). Also the white can be worn with everything and the style with every situation.
