Thanks, Kostas. I wish I can say it was purchased after rigorous research and introspection. I saw it on Amazon for under $200 and as a Seiko fanboy I wanted to have a mechaquartz from the company that created the movement. It is now one of my grab and go watches.
I would recommend that for those thinking Seiko has gone crazy with prices, check out the Spirit line. As you say it is overlooked and worth a visit. I have purchased a couple as gifts over the years, fwiw.
