Mechanical watch with an in-house movement for under $30?!
Okay, explanation time 😅. I got this HMT for $17 about a year and a half ago. It's an original case and in-house movement but the dial was updated. It's a cheap little mechanical watch, but I was just getting into mechanical watches and it seemed like a great deal. It sat in a box because looked to small on my wrist. I tried different straps (even a nato) and decided I would just give it to my kid later in life. Fun fact it keeps impressively good time. I was on AliExpress a couple weeks back and noticed I had a coupon for free shipping, so I decided to buy a president style bracelet but didn't know what watch I'd buy it for. Went through all my watches and saw the HMT all alone in the box, so I went for it 😅. The bracelet was $7 after the free shipping so in total I spent under $30 for this watch. I like the way it looks 1000% more with a bracelet and plan on using it as a work beater 😁

I thought they used citizen manual wind movements?
They did, but when they parted ways they made 1 movement that was their own. Its very much based off a citizen movement but it's still theirs 😅
