The Watch I bought my Dad

My dad has never been much of a watch guy. He’s never been the Type to appreciate fine craftsmanship either. He’s the rough guy,not talking much… People would say he’s not the approachable kind… We are pretty different, our interests don’t match and we even argue over some things harder than you might expect.

That’s the reason I struggled to get him a mechanical watch for his birthday. I thought maybe it wouldn’t mean that much to him since he always had cheap quartz pieces you could find for 50 bucks. But this thing kind of stuck with him, he takes it pretty much everywhere but is extremely protective… he’s not had a single scratch since. I even catch him looking at the movement through the glass bottom now and then. I know that it’s not a Rolex, not even a special movement but it makes me happy that I found something we can both appreciate, even if it is in different ways.
