I was painting a dial with normal white spray paint and added some blue metallic spray paint on top of it while the base was still wet.
I knew these two paints don't work together, and was hoping to get that crackled texture from the paint "boiling". But instead I got something even cooler!
I don't know what you would call this, but looks cool! A happy accident.

Nice one that was a happy accident 😁
A new dial maker is born.
That is outstanding!👏👏👏
"Roiling Sea" dial, very cool, some of the best art comes from experiment and embracing the results
A new dial maker is born.
Well... This wasn't my first rodeo😁

This is the effect I was trying to replicate.
I painted this dial two years ago, but I quess you can never repeat the same thing twice. (Still doesn't stop me from trying)
I like your result better than your objective 😉
It looks like blue solar convection cells

Bob Ross would be so proud of this watch. Beautiful happy accident. Very cool. Now try it with luminova underneath 🤯

You wanted one with lume under.
This is a test dial with green lume as a base paint and purple metallic on top.
It looks like this in the dark.
I have been thinking of what I could do to create an original dial. Maybe just experiment with paint. 🧐
