Grand Seiko SBGN009 shot on Leica Q

I just purchased a Leica Q and was eager to test out the macro function of the lens.  Given that it's a full frame 28mm, I was a bit skeptical about if I could use it for watch photography.  To my delight, this camera works great for super close-up shots! (17cm)

This is the SBGN009 I got back in 2020.  It's a limited edition to 2019 pieces, powered by the 9F86.  I live in Paris and my family lives in Los Angeles, so I love the GMT function this watch gives me.  I think every collection deserves a quartz movement and having a quartz GMT is a must for those living in two time zones!

Does anyone else use a Leica Q for watch photography?

Congrats on the new camera - nice to see an example of macro results! Was looking at Q2 for sometime but figured difficult for me to lay that cash down… then started looking at the Fuji x100… haha, I need cheaper interests. Great looking watch btw - have fun with the new kit! 🤙

Thanks!

I’n also a Fuji shooter myself and also have the x100T but I find it super soft for macro shots, the macro and manual focus on the Leica Q is so good! I found a good deal for it and paid 1800€ for it…. Still a pricey toy… I also need to find hobbies that cost left money 😂🥲
