On the bench this week a well worn vintage Seiko 6138 UFO which has arrived with the crown broken from the stem and bottom pusher seized. Surprisingly the movement is running ok even through it hasn’t seen a service for many years. New crystal on order I have a replacement crown and stem and gaskets in stock.
Also a lovely vintage Eterna Matic with a 1422ud movement from 1961 arrived as a non runner found a top bridge screw had come loose and was jammed under the balance spring once removed it sprang into life abet poorly on strip down found the mainspring was broken.
Has a a full clean inspection and cap jewels oiled ready for assembly once the new mainspring on order arrives.
Still waiting on parts for the Willard should be a couple of weeks away.
