Crown guard of the Longines Hydroconquest

Hi Guys,

I am thinking of buying my first proper watch. I recently tried a Longines Hydroconquest and I found the the crown guards are quite sharp to the point where it cut through a layer of skin on my thumb ( not a proper cut though) when changing the date and time. Does anyone else have this issue?

The Dremel is a remarkably versatile tool.  Just sayin’.

The world is a big place, so someone else may have that problem, too. I have two Conquests and one Hydroconquest with those crown guards and I have never had the problem you described. Sometimes, I get a little red mark on my wrist if the watch fit is a little loose, but that seems to be from the crown itself and not the crown guards.

I don’t have one, but I can imagine that happening. The appearance of the crown guards is the one thing that keeps me from adding one to my collection.

I have had no issues with the crown guard.

Maybe you’re the guy that the crown needs guarding against and the crown guard is performing perfectly.  LOL

That’s a shame. Never had that problem with the 41mm.

Had the same problem with mine. Had it less than two weeks…the crown guards drove me crazy too just looking at them…

So what was the replacement if there was one?
