Seiko Prospex SBDN069 Solar Quartz

My Seiko SBDN069 solar quartz is a great grab and go when I wanted to quickly transition from my weekend watch to something to start off my work week. Always ready to go and accurate, I'm tracking about no more than +0.2 s/d since early Dec 2021.
For this watch, currently my favorite strap setup on an Erika's Original MN Strap in Trident Blue with Grey Center Stripe.

Hi Wing, I've been obsessing over this watch lately. Wondering what your take on it is after owning it a few months? I'm between this and an SNE591. I haven't seen it on a strap like yours before, looks awesome!

Both are good color options. If you've ever followed me and seen my past watches.. I certainly have a weakness for Pepsi bezels, also. Just depends on what kind of look you are going for more with this one.

I wanted the vintage colors of like a vintage Rolex or Tudor Submariner. BUT, without the fauxtina lume.. I actually like fauxtina in certain watches, but, I wanted it also look like a modern and classic dive watch that was new with the vintage colors in the bezel (primarily) cause those desaturated tones look good.

I actually no longer own this watch. Nothing wrong, it just overlapped a new incoming watch in style and color so I had to pick and choose.

Anyways, for as long as I owned it, it was f*ing accurate. From 12/2/2021 to 3/21/2022, it only gained 18 secs. Which averages out to +0.16 s/d according to the app I used to record it's performance.

Now, I can't guarantee whichever one you pick up will be as tight. But, overall, the size is excellent. I think it's supposed to be about 38mm, but the broadness of the lugs, it's kind of almost like a maxi Rolex Submariner case, thus it wears visually a little larger, imho. to me it's at least a 39 and maybe feels like a 40mm on wrist visually. I forget the thinness, but it's quite slim at under 11mm. It's a great grab and go watch that's pretty much always ready and you shouldn't have to second guess the accuracy over extended periods which is a great carefree experience with this watch. And, being quartz with plenty of WR, it'll be as rugged a watch as any.

Thanks for the detailed feedback! I actually just finished a post on my current solar watches. I defintely want a diver in there precisely because I want a good grab-and-go thats low maintenance. My Casio Duro currently fills that role but I think I'm ready for the next step up.

I also really love the pepsi colours and think they are super versatile. The only thing I'm on the fence on still with the 569 is the suburst dial though. I feel divers should have flat black dials as a rule of thumb, which the 591 does have. But I did try the 569 on and it is the most comfortable watch I've ever worn. Took some restrain to not buy it right then and there!

Hope you enjoy your new watch, I'll look out for that post. With some luck I'll have one for the Fall season myself.
