JLC just releases the Horological Masterpiece: Atmos Tellurium.
A perpetual clock with hour, minute, tellurium, zodiacal calendar complications. This clock is a perpetually powered by the atmospheric temperature through the expansion and compression of ethylene chloride gas (1 degree of temperature could power up to 40 hours!). It is also set to have an deviation of 1 day in 390 years!
But what is a Tellurium?
Tellurium (also spelled Tellurion) "is a clock, typically of French or Swiss origin, surmounted by a mechanism that depicts how day, night, and the seasons are caused by the rotation and orientation of Earth on its axis and its orbit around the Sun." - Wikipedia
Basically this clock has:
1. Perpetual clock powered by the atmosphere
2. 24 Hours and 60 Minutes
3. Earth that rotates every 24 hours
4. Moon that orbits Earth on average every 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes (Plus moon phase indicators)
5. The Earth and Moon that orbits the Sun every 365.2466 days
That only needs to be set every 390 years! All I can say is WOW!

Unbelievably cool. That is my next clock purchase, after this:

Sweet!! Though, going to be hard to NATO that thing. :)
Honestly when you get down to it it really is incredible how accurate clocks have gotten. The new atomic clock that the eggheads at Greenwich are developing is said to be within a second accuracy, over a course of (wait for it) 30 BILLION years! That's over double the age of the universe.

This comment killed me 😂 77 quid for that is outstanding! And we get a tourbillion movement too! Lets all learn to be a watchmaker!

Atmos Watch would have been a banger! 🌚
