Lucky to get my hands on the new Zulu Time 39mm collaboration with Hodinkee. There's certainly aspects that set this apart from the other 39mm timepieces that look similar on the market. The grade 5 titanium is the first thing. The manufacturing and finishing are very impressive. It also has a great familiar aesthetic - some have already expressed that it's almost too familiar.

But unfortunately, I've decided not to keep it.The well-known feature of titanium is that it's incredibly light. I also have a P39 in titanium. The difference between the two is the bracelet. The bracelet on this Zulu Time is light and feels cheap. Then there’s the clasp. First, the clasp is short so it doesn't provide much additional room for your hand when you take it on or off. And second, there's no microadjustment.

I enjoyed my time with it but it's onto the next for me.

Once you experience the watch in person the comparisons to a BB Pro (mine included!) seem pretty reductive!

𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙚 it. Congrats.
