So I bought this 1940s Heuer big eyes Chronograph on eBay.

I hadn’t set out to buy one - I thought I wasn’t that in to chronographs. But the patina lured me in.

So it arrived today and I must say - it’s blown me away. The patina even nicer in person. The size just perfect for me at 35mm. The pump pushers really make it I think. And then finally the chrono mechanism itself delights - the chrono minute hand dances around its marker at the end of each minute (but finds its place.)

What a watch!

Seems to be keeping great time after 6 hours + and chrono worked fine over 20 minute test.
