Are watch shows like IWJG places to find deals for your personal collection?

Found myself watching the Roman Sharf YT channel and thought maybe I could find a good deal but I’ve never been.

Hit -n- miss but you just have to go to find out. One thing that is almost universal is on the last day of the show you can get the best deals.

One, he is a dealer and IWJG is a dealer only show. Most sales in general happen between dealers who are more or less gambling on what could be hot next, they are mostly swapping inventory at the show. Could you get a deal? Sure, but any of the hot watches do not need a trade show to exchange, so you are only likely to find deals on less desirable models and brands. Again, unless you are a dealer it does not matter anyway.

Yeah makes sense. Just figured I’d ask here in case anyone has had experience at one of these shows.

Indeed. I’ve had that experience at other fairs/shows.
