NWA! Orient Fineness Ultramatic ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Recently bought this along with the goldfeather. A 1968 Orient Fineness Ultramatic bought on Buyee for $170 USD with $30 USD shipping. I'd been looking for one at decent condition and a low price for some time now, and the day this went up for sale, I instantly bought it.

The original strap has obviously been replaced by a blue NATO strap, the original crystal has been replaced (therefore no Cyclops lens), there's a small dent in the dial, and the day/date wheel doesn't operate (it has to be manually set). But the rest of the watch is in reasonably good condition, apart from some scratches here and there. This strap looks decent on it too, but it irritates my wrist so I'll stick on a leather strap.

It genuinely looks gorgeous and all of the signs of old age seem to disappear when it's on the wrist. I'm particularly fond of the hour and minute hands, it's a nice touch. Since it's already in good condition, all I really have to do is treat the watch well and see how long it lasts. To conclude, I'm pretty ecstatic about this purchase ๐Ÿ˜

Fantastic vintage Orient! Iโ€™m guessing itโ€™s just the pinion that actuates the advance, which is probably an unobtainium part for thatโ€ฆ but it is super cool regardless
