Seiko SPB143 with Uncle Seiko Oyster and LIW BRAC-37 endlinks.
TL;DR - I was able to combine parts from two different bracelets to create my perfect SBP143 bracelet.
Through some stroke of impulsivity and bad financial decisions, I happened to purchase both the Uncle Seiko Oyster Strap and the Long Island Watch Islander Northport bracelet. both of which are compatible with the SPB143. With either bracelet I had resentments that I just couldn’t get over.
The BRAC-37 (LIW Northport) bracelet had a strap code style buckle which is extremely solid with plenty of micro-adjustments, but it’s just too big for my liking. As far as the Uncle Seiko one went, I just couldn’t get over the endlinks having something missing. That missing part being the section in the middle that juts out, slightly resembling the male endlinks of the original bracelet.
Once I realized the endlinks of the BRAC-37 worked seamlessly with the Uncle Seiko Oyster, it now feels like the perfect marriage of the two. There is thankfully no play with the endlinks and it works using the 2.5mm thick spring bars with custom tips from Uncle Seiko. There’s a very VERY slight color mismatch due to the diashield coating on the watch but it’s really only noticeable in certain lighting. Overall I feel like the stock bracelet should’ve had this weight and feel from the jump but it is what it is.
I’ll include links to everything for those who would like to give this a shot. Im not sure if the endlinks for the Northport are able to be purchased separately but that would save a ton of money. I’m aware this ended up being way more money than it was probably worth but this hobby isn’t exactly a financially responsible one to begin with.
