Stauer

My dad found out that I started collecting watches. He was thoughtful enough to add this to my collection. No matter how old you get, your dad is always your dad.

That’s what dads do.

So dad reads at least one old school masculine paper magazine, right?

There are people that dunk on Stauer, but I can't really recall any other retrograde hour and minute displays like this. The presumably printed eccentric sunburst effect and red 15 increment indices are nice touches too.

But why are there seemingly two pushers on, you know, a two hand watch??

Not a bad looking dial.

What happens when the end of the scale is reached, do the hands jump back?

Hi all,

Thank you and yes the 2 pushers are for setting time up and down the time range.

Yep, the hands jump back which is cool.

I tell you, folks can dunk all they want. My first one appears to not work correctly. I emailed the company and they sent me a new one before I had the first one boxed up to send back. Can’t complain about that.

I always see Stauer advertising on Popular Mechanics
