There is a difference in purpose. Mononeedles like Meistersinger are statement pieces that show that the wearer doesn't care about accuracy to the second.

Regulator clocks on the other hand (no pun intended) are all about accuracy and visibility. They were used for synchronisation of all other watches in the watchmaker's shop/collection.
