Seiko Invicta Automatic, not a homage

Invicta gets a fair bit of “meh” from some online reviewers, as a Brit I was unaware of the intriguing brand until I saw them at Epcot and US malls. I was lucky to get this as a birthday gift a few years ago. 200m WR, Seiko automatic and of course the iconic laughing Mickey, this will never get sold!

Early in my collecting journey, I ran across an Invicta Submariner homage and picked it up. I thought it was a great bargain; a watch that looked liker a Rolex at a fraction of the cost, so I began to purchase more Invicta watches, but I am now at a point where I will never buy another Invicta again, owing to personal experience. I had purchased five Invicta watches over aboyt three months, and was waiting for the fifth to arrive in the mail, when three of them shot craps. In one, the entire movement broke free in the housing. In another, the crown and stem broke free of the watch, and in the third, the bezel came off and could not be reattached. Invicta would only cover the issue with the movement, and they simply sent me a QUARTZ replacement. Never again will I buy an Invicta, but I have nothing against people who collect them and who have had better experiences than me with the brand.
