Sinn U1 SE Black

Hey all,

I’m finally leaving Hel-LA, lol, and I’ve being going through my stuff and “found” this watch in my drawer.

It’s barely used and I think I was going to try and sell it at one point. I bought this a couple years ago and have noticed how much Sinn’s prices have gone up since then.

The Lume sucks and the watch is too heavy for my liking on the bracelet, but man I think this thing is looks sexy and badass. Love the color scheme.

I think I’m gonna keep it. Has the U1 been updated over the years, or just their price? Lol.

What do you guys think? Keep it or sell it?

And do any of you have experience with the curved-end rubber strap that fits these U1 models? I’d like to get one but they’re over $400 which is crazy. Wouldn’t mind a third party curved end that fits. Know any?

Share your thoughts, please!

I have a U50 and i put it on an after market rubber strap and love it. You should give that a go before you part ways with it!

Which strap was it? Curved end? Did it fit nicely?

It was a straight end quick release. I had on a Vertex watch that i used to own. I would probably look at Barton Watch Straps, Hirsch or Hoblen to pick up a strap.

Great special edition

Keep. Some of these brands, like Sinn, will remain popular and perceived value (prices) will be strong imo.

I have a U50 and I love it. Your U1 looks great. Wear it and see how you feel. I figure you kind of forgot about it for a reason but it sounds like you enjoy it on strap. I'd keep an eye out for a pre-owned OEM rubber strap. I've seen a few but for sale and they are such good straps I'd hate to buy a cheaper one and end up with lower quality and not be happy. That's what I'm doing anyway.

I have never seen this watch before, and I have been doing watches before the pandemic madness, but this thing sure looks awesome. To my eye, the best looking U50 I can think of. I think you should enjoy this a little. You will always be able to sell a watch like this.

Great special edition

Don't think it is a special edition. They are still available, at least on Watch Buys
