Vietnam Era Timex?

Picked up this mechanical Timex yesterday. Appears to be Vietnam War era. Possibly for American troops. Can anyone give me any more info on this specific watch. I know they make a similar model currently, but that is quartz. This specific model is mechanical and works beautifully.

Timex, Hamilton, Benrus, Stocker and Yale, Gallet, and Marathon I believe all submitted DOD NSN field watches for Vietnam.

S & Y, and Gallet were either absorbed or became a full part of Marathon, or Marathon bought their case designs or something.

Peeps are more knowledgeable than I on this.

Cool watch btws.

I am also searching for that used mechanical Timex! That model was sold during the 1980’s.

Solidyetti, pretty much summed it up. Great find and glad to hear it is still in working conditions. I have many Timex watches over 50 years old and still keep perfect time. Who says you have to spend a lot of money to get an amazing watch.

I believe they did a reissue of this watch (Timex is back in the mechanical game).
