Pagani Design PD-1662

Love this watch. Pagani has some QC issues, but none to note with this watch. Really high quality feel. Wish they made a slimmer Mecha quartz non-GMT model only for the accuracy, but for now I am happy with this model.

Is this an NH34 gmt?

Unfortunately no, it is the pearl gmt movement which kinda sucks. Didn’t think there were any other movements in them until I bought this one unknowingly. I really prioritize accuracy and this just isn’t as accurate as I would like. It loses roughly 20-30 seconds per day which is quite unacceptable. But the case and bracelet make up for it I suppose. Maybe this can just be my “looker” watch. And not priortize its time function as much as its looks function 😂

Thanks for the breakdown! Yeah -20 to 30 a day is a bit of a bummer. Any ability to diy regulate and see if you can tighten that up a few seconds?

Never thought about it. I’ve always wanted to do a movement swap. But I’m just not as hands on with watches as I wish I could be and I’m afraid I could mess something up. As much as I love automatic watches, I almost would just prefer a mecha quartz movement like I said. And just take the gmt hand off. Maybe that can be a project once I really get sick of re-setting the watch every week. 🥲

I wish. Maybe some day

PD is a good watch for the moon provided you stick to Seiko movements. I’ve recently discovered Steinhart, and yes it’s a lot more per watch. But the quality of Steinhart is light years better than PD, yet still very reasonable prices.

I suppose. I’ve always liked the look. And $100 is much better than $15k😂

PD makes Looker Watches that resemble much higher end (authentic) watches. There is nothing wrong with that, as long as they don’t slap on a Rolex logo and call themselves low price Rolexes.

For me, it’s too much trouble swapping out movements on a PD. I would just leave it as is and wear it when you go to the beach or to places where you wouldn’t care what happens to your watch.

Don’t get me wrong.. I’m not criticizing or belittling your PD. I had thought about getting a PD myself.. I had been hesitating as i had always wondered about its accuracy, which you just confirmed for me.
