My dad’s old Timex Marlin from the 1960s. The movement is broken and it would cost more to repair and service than the watch is worth. But I’m still on the fence, given its sentimental value.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Take your time—it’s a marathon, not a sprint. Get to know your watches well, wear them often, and over time you’ll figure out exactly what works for you.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Probably a Patek Philippe World Time watch, but I’d happily settle for a Rolex GMT Master II.
