As far as the brand, the website makes clear that it celebrates the actual Soviet Union, and isn’t just trying for kitsch or a “Soviet aesthetic.”
That’s fine, if that’s what they and a sufficient number of consumers want, but its unfortunately not something I (even if I weren’t someone who spoke a little Russian) would be comfortable sporting so boldly on my wrist. And for the record, I wouldn’t wear an American flag watch either. Just not interested in this much wristpolitik.
