Just thought I'd post this, a mate of mine works in fabrication and this is his latest job - the title says what it is. Apparently it's for Rolex.

Of course, he could be pulling my leg, but he's not the sort of chap who normally makes stuff up.

Anyhoo, just thought some of you might be interested. Here's more pics.

This is the difference between Rolex and Grand Seiko. Grand Seiko only blues hands over an open charcoal fire. The charcoal is made from the rare Koya-maki (Umbrella pine) from the Kyoto Prefecture. The trees are carefully harvested only from those that are killed naturally (lightning strikes, etc.) The Koya-maki is so sacred to some that they will not even look at it.
