🚨 NWA: New Watchbox Alert 🚨

When I started out with this hobby just over a year ago, I honestly thought an 8-slot watch box would serve me fine for many years to come…(shhhhh, I can hear you laughing!) Not the case obviously. It quickly filled up…

I made do by adding a watch stand and a repurposed cardboard box for a while, but when that second box also filled up, I felt that the container was falling rather short of the pieces it contained.

So, stepped up, searched for and found a 20-slot wooden watch box (with a rather redundant key 🙃)

So now I have a top shelf of nice watches and a bottom shelf of fun/beater/dive watches (with room for some more :)

My man!

Several years ago, I had a 3 watch storage box… I don’t even know where that thing is now that my collection has growth xx times.

Same here, started with a three slot box, moved to a travel (the watch box came with a zipper) 12 slot box amd now I'm on my second 12 slot box. Whee....

Nice box and even a better collection. I’m on my 5th 10 slot box but mine are all solid top, no. Window. Anyway, I noticed your watch pillows, they are round at the top and ends with a flat bottom right? I find them a problem with my watches w straps, the part where it turns from round to flat, it folds my strap where it shouldn’t. How is it for you?

Cheers! And yeah, agree - the flat bottomed cushion are a bit more of a hassle than ‘regular’ soft cushions the previous box came with. Especially on the watches with shorter straps. So may end up ordering a batch of regular soft cushions :)

Seeing the Pagani Design alongside the big boi brand watches on someone's collection watch box makes me so happy

Haha, 🍻! The PDs make me happy too - great value for money, good looking and comfortable to wear 👍🏻

What's next? A separate room for watches? 😀

There is a saying about numismats: 1/3 of your life you collect, 2/3 of your life you arrange the collection.

Motivation!!!

Some of the bigger watches may be okay if you put them on the flat side but yeah, regular soft cushions are better I guess. Cheers mate.

No - I firmly believe 20 slots to be more than enough for many years to come!

Yup. Thankfully these particular ‘flatbottoms’ (is there an official terminology for watch cushions?!) are pretty soft and bending, so quite usable during the period I have not yet researched / ordered the ideal cushions :)

Nice 👌 Do you have a link to it at all? I can always do with more storage options.
