Seeing as they aren't really into watches, I'd personally just go with something more budget, so if they don't end up wearing it, you won't have wasted too much. Plus you could always get them something else as well then.

It's a great entry level piece that a lot of people seem to go for when first getting into watches.
It's looks pretty good mate. I've not checked out this one, but a few years back I did a comparison review of a few offerings from other brands though.
I also have this Heimdallr that is pretty sweet too... It's a titanium case.
