On several occasions I almost bought a new Tissot Visodate model, I really like the look.
Then I saw this watch on auction with very little time left and bought it on whim. The only information was "Tissot 1960s" and I have been unable to find the exact model I bought.
The closest I found was a Tissot Jubileum but mine does not have that text on the dial. Can anyone help me identify this one?
This account is verified. WatchCrunch has confirmed that this account is the authentic presence for this person or brand.
I found this, If it is the same model, It dates from 1956.
SOLD 1956 Tissot watch with sub seconds - Birth Year Watches
Edit -: Ignore. It is not quite the same as the hour numerals differ from yours.
And there is also this. It has identical dial layout, but i think the texture is different. Also from the 50s.
Tissot - Sub-seconds - 50000 - Men - 1950-1959 - Catawiki
If you open the back up, it should have some info on the inside of the case back. It's probably a 50s model. Lots of variants of this model.
It might give you a model number.
Cheers!
It may be the Tissot Homme 1960-1969
Thanks everyone!
I did not know old Tissots have individual serial numbers, very cool. I entered it on a site which told me my watch is from 1954.
Googling "Tissot sub-seconds 1954" gets us a lot closer, but I still can't find the exact dial.
I will try calling my local jeweller who sells Tissots and ask if they can identify it!
