Cestrian Customer Service

Hello all.

I recently purchased a Cestrian Dive Series Hulk watch.. which is superb. When it arrived from Amazon, the box was damaged (hinge broken and sharp pieces poking out from the cardboard).. I have contacted WatchNation directly and they have said that they have no watch boxes to replace the damaged box .. and that they are grateful for the QC info. Amazon just have a replacement service.

This really doesn't redefine luxury as they suggest in their advertising, if anything I should be paid for their QC ..

Does anyone else have a similar experience with WatchNation ?

Cheers,

Paul

Cestrian watches are made in China by workers that get paid by the number of units they produce in an hour, the worker boxing your watch was probably in a rush to meet his or her quota for a bonus bowl of rice. But your issues will be corrected, they will make it right, don’t worry they rely on good customer service and you will be satisfied. Eventually.

No. Damaged in transit by Amazon, who only offer a replacement.. I contacted the supplier direct and got a brush off .. redefining luxury.. please

Let's be honest, anything being purchased through Amazon is always going to miss the mark on luxury. The item is either sent to you via Amazon or one of many package carriers. They're not paying extra for care of the package. Unless they give you the option to pay for it. I wouldn't be to upset with the watch company. They sold it to a grey market seller. After that, it's not their concern. Even Rolex acts different about grey market purchases. If the watch is ok then I would move on, just minus 1 box.

A lot of middlemen in this deal, WatchNation probably never handled your watch except to pass it on, the onus goes to Amazon they touched it last. They are liable for this and they will make it right.

Should have bought a Spaghetti Scameti, they cut out all the middlemen. https://www.watchcrunch.com/tags/spaghettiscameti

I got a couple of cestrian watch’s (master and driver) and haven’t had a problem. I sent the orange driver back as it was was too big for my small wrist, also no problem.

Amazon don’t replace parts, it always a sent it back and order another one. If only a few bits a missing, I generally keep the original and send back the new one (less missing parts). Bit of a faff but works okay.

Update.. Received a new replacement box direct from Cestrian this morning. Big thanks to Ellis at Cestrian for his help.

I'm glad it's sorted.. they sent me a new box in the post. It took some back and forth to get though. The watch itself is faultless so far. Cheers for the comment
