I tried to resist the siren song of Black Friday watch deals⌠I really did. But I couldnât pass up this sweet little mechaquartz with the gorgeous textured dial for less than $60. Since my wife actually really liked the looks, I rationalized/convinced her that at 36mm it could be a his/hers watch with a simple strap swap. So I got a nice brown leather and she picked out a green/grey silicone Archer.
Beautiful little watch for the money. Surprisingly nice finishing and feels solidly made. The bracelet is a bit rattley but it looks better on the straps anyway. I had bought and sold another automatic Addiesdive with a ripple textured dial twice before, but it was way too thick, and I never bonded with it.
This one is much slimmer, a bit more classy, and practical for both of us with a quartz movement, but one that still ticks 4 times per second for a semi-smooth sweep.
All-in-all I escaped Black Friday out less than $90 after the pair of straps, Iâm good with that. Haha
