My friend is buying a watch for his brother, and asked my advice.

He has up to $2000 to spend, and he wants something on the elegant side with a bracelet.

I’m thinking of Monta and C. Ward at the moment.

Any suggestions?

Is this person a watch person? If not, then also consider some higher level quartz watches, for 2k you can buy for example one of Citizens Chronomasters, like AQ4091.

I’d consider the Formex Essence.

I believe it bridges the gap between elegant and sporty, has a great dial, innovative features and as it’s COSC certified keeps very good time (mine is -2.5 seconds in the last 4 days).
