Type of natos

What kind of nato - We still use that word right? - do you prefer?

The shiny seltbelt type or the more rugged type?

1: Original Aqustar Nato 21mm

2: Crown & Buckle Nato 21mm

Aesthetically I find the ribbed nylon style more visually interesting due to the pattern, but it makes the nylon thicker, stiff, and itchy which is a steep downgrade for comfort in my experience.

The smooth seatbelt nylon is less striking visually but softer and much more comfortable to wear, especially in the heat, so it's the style I wear most in my 15+ NATOs collection.

If you haven’t had the seatbelt style on wrist, you are missing out. Much more comfortable!

I use the inexpensive G10 IW Suisse nylon 12" NATOs which are available in virtually every size, color, and hardware choice. The seatbelt NATOs are attractive, but they are usually too short for me.

I find the seatbelt type to be too thick to comfortably loop back at the top.

Neither of those would be put on any of mine! My most important criteria is Mil-spec sewn in buckle - otherwise it's not a NATO, it's a pretty cloth strap!
