I mean is there a style that you originally hated, but you now fully embrace?
For me it's dive watches. I never liked them much at all. Didn't like the rotating bezel, or the Helium Release Valve. Then for some reason far beyond my comprehension, I bought one (either a Zodiac Super Sea Wolf Skin, or the Hamilton Khaki Navy Scuba, forget which). Now, all of a sudden, I like Dive Watches. I have 3 (the 2 above plus an Omega Planet Ocean, an older one before Metas certification) and am looking at getting a new Planet Ocean.
Still a total turnoff for me is GMT. I just don't like the extra hand.
70+ years old. Love Omega, Hamilton & Ball. Own 15+ watches. Heard about WatchCrunch from Ben's Watch Club on YouTube. Other collections include Shave Brushes (30 or so) & Zippos (120 or so)
Exactly... I didn't have any interest in dive watches... I don't dive. Then I got one... Now I have several and enjoy them a lot.
Skeletons. Thought they were tacky and just a budget flex. Didn't really understand them as I thought they all looked the same and took away the number one most important thing about a watch for me, the dial. Fast forward to the release of last year's Grand Seiko Kodo Tourbillon ...my god. Yea it'd be unfair to use the Kodo as an example for skeleton watches but it really got me interested in other skeletons and I appreciate them a lot more now. The Zenith Defy Skeleton 👌
A picture says a thousand words. LOL

Yeah. Skeletons. I hate them now. BUT I occasionally see one that I like. I'll probably end up with one. I'll let you know when I break down 😎
Field watches. Something about them now is just too earthy-crunchy for me. I don't own any fleece wear and I hate camping and hiking. I look down at my Hamilton Khaki now and think, "why are you on my wrist today?"

I’m with you. I didn’t think much of skeleton watches…until I saw this Defy. And now it’s on my wrist :-)
