So here's the latest little Seiko 5 rescued from a life of neglect and hardship. It's found a new home today (courtesy of eBay) and hopefully it will give its new owner many years of pleasure and maybe, just maybe, get a little love back too

Good job!
I’ve seen a 3:00 date, 6:00 date, even 4:30 date, but never an 11:45 date!
What a transformation! Great work.
I can’t believe that’s the same watch. Nice work!
Nice one! What's your restoration process? I rescued a 1975 Seiko Quartz from facebook marketplace which I've been trying to restore
Two parts. I service the movement and ensure its working well. You can't see that bit obviously. The case restoration involves a lot of work rubbing/sanding down with various grades of sandpaper (120 - 5000 grit) and brushes and then polishing back with grades of polishing compound. I also had to fit new feet on the dial. If you want to watch someone restore a watch to a VERY high standard I'd recommend my good friend Joe, the Nekkid Watchmaker on YouTube.
