Bering Arctic Sailing watch

Hello there. I have seen a great looking watch from the brand Bering with a price of 249€. It is quite unique: has the looks from a diver but is incredible thin, 8mm, 41mm, quartz Seiko VD57. Specs are good. I have my doubts however if this is a quality watch or a fashion watch for which you overpay. Could not find real reviews on Youtube. Anyone any experience with this brand or maybe with this model? Your opinions or recommendations are highly welcome!

Hey there.

Yes, unfortunately there are no reviews about Bering watches so far.

In generel they are a "Fashionbrand". But I think a good one. Although they are producing in China.

They have some few great designs. They have a clear deign language. And I like how they try new designs by keeping their design-rules of arctic and slim.

But I saw also negative reviews on Amazon about some of their watches. But all related to their colored models. They are easy to scratch which looks unesthetic one their blue, black, grey cases.

But as long as you buy not a colored/coated one, I think you should be fine.

You can find this watch for 199€ on other websites. I think for that price it would be worth to try. Especially as they use for every watch sapphire ans Seiko movements.

If you buy this watch please make a review here. I'm curious how it looks in real.

Thanks a lot for sharing. That helped. I went into the shop to see and try it. It feels good indeed, the only thing I did not like is that the bezel does not turn, so it is pure looks.

I see. I actually wondered how to turn the bezel as the whole watch hight is so slim and hard to grab the bezel.

But to be fair, Bering classifyed it as "sailing" watch. Even a none turning bezel is disappointing. But only by thd look, it looks good. For something similiar the Tissot Seastar with beautiful green bezel would be an alternative.

Hi, happy new year to all.

I bought the blue one,it was an impulse buy. Walked in a store, saw it and really liked the design, color and feel.

So much so that a few months later I bought the second one, which I wear almost daily at work.

What I can say is, they sit very comfortable on the wrist, looks heavy but feels lite (not in a cheap kind of way). It's thin, and the watch band is comfortabel, not sharp against the skin. The luminos is not the brightest but is ok, visible.

Indeed the bezel does not turn (would have been nice if it did) but I have no regrets at all with these watches. They look nice and feel nice.
