Windup Watch Fair SF 2024

Day one of Windup Watch Fair of 2024 in SF is in the books. The Windup team packed Fort Mason full of watch vendors and even more watches this year. Crazy!

While there were many watches to drool over, it was the fellow Crunchers, brand owners and watch stories that made this year’s event really memorable and meaningful!

Shout out to everyone I got to hang and chat with… Can’t wait for 2025!

These stood out due to the conversations I had with the brand owners: Jessie at Lorca, Neil (Frank) at Duckworth Prestex, Guillaume of Nivada, Oscar of Praesidus, Martin of Sherpa and Jonathan of Brew and both Marshall and Alex of Sutcliff Hansen. Lastly, the gentleman (forgot his name) at Junghan was wearing a $30K exclusive gold chronograph watch that was made to order and hand delivered to the customer! Can’t leave out Marc from Long Island- he gave away a lot of money on day 1 to his watch wearing customers!

To echo my good friend Frank @Framper_22 , my favorite brand owner conversations - and watches - were with Jesse and Jarrett from Lorca, Guillaume and his very friendly staff at Nivada Grenchen, Martin and Brandon from Sherpa, Magnus and Johan from Bravur (the best dressed in the joint!), Jose from Isotope, Lauren and Lorenzo from Lorier, and Oscar at Praesidus. I also really enjoyed chatting with Marshall Sutcliffe from Wristwatch Revival, everyone's favorite YouTube channel.

To a person, everyone was friendly, approachable and kind, and I never felt like they were trying to rush me off or disinterested in me. And even though they hear attendees gushing about their watches all day long, they were very keen in wanting to know what I liked about their brands. In all, they were some of the most gracious folks I have ever met. It was truly a celebration of watches and our love for them. I am on a high from the last two days and cannot wait for next year's Windup! ❤

A big shoutout to @Framper_22, @AlohaBrah21 and @TomatoBass for being my amazing companions and wingmen. You guys are the best!
