Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
Grew up eyeing my dad’s GMT master he got in Germany on a TDY flying F-4s. Started seriously looking into watches a few years ago to understand the mechanical Vs quartz movements. Now I’m hooked.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
My first watch was a Swatch Jellyfish I got for Christmas in the ‘80’s.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Buy slowly. My buddy spent about $1,000 on mall watches he didn’t like just cause he was excited but he hates them. Don’t do that.

Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Rolex GMT Master II 116710LN. It’s the modern twist on my dad’s 1675 Pepsi and a great pilot’s watch.
