Capt Willard? Or SKX ? I’d go with a clone like Heimdallr. You can get a faithful watch with all the goodies (lume, sapphire solid end links and NH35) for less money.
I put a red 50 bezel on this one for my dad on my parent’s 50th anniversary.
I’ve also had good experiences with the Pegani Designs PD1723
Also don’t forget Vostok for some cheep interesting watches.
My first good watch was a Zelos off EBay. Micro Brands hit way above their price.
I picked one up cause it looked like my Grandfather’s watch and I’ve really enjoyed it. The face is so easy to read and it doesn’t look like anything else. The guys at watches of Switzerland were talking about it for a while before we looked up the Air King to place where the design language came from. For under $200 I don’t sweat it.
