I would like to learn some basic watch repair. I'm looking into doing it as a hobby but don't feel I can do it just by watching YouTube videos and dinking around with thrift store watches. I tried reaching out to a local watch repairer and while he was extremely nice he said he doesn't do any training or offer any classes. I saw a blog where someone talked about TimeZone Watch School. Has any fellow WCer been through the program? What are your thoughts and experiences? Any other recommendations?

I have not, but am interested in popping into classes myself eventually. The NY Horological Society also hosts various traveling road shows. OR, buy a cheap poorly running watch and see what happens.
Hi @FifeLaw, I hope you had any luck in finding a good course to learn watch repairing. Could you share your findings? It looks like we're in the same boat as I'm also in search. Have a great day!

Unfortunately, not yet.
