Hilly ride today 😅… b4 the rain hits us tomorrow ☹️…
digging this Aikon Benzilla Tide: it weighs nothing, quartz stays ready to roll after a week in the WatchBox, and the bright colorway goes with my kit! 👌
I have non-hi mod version as well as 2nd Gen. I really like geometry of 1st gen. Enjoy it, those Black inc could be incredibly light 👍
Nice! I kinda wish I saved my old one.. I rode a gen 1 for quite a few years b4 getting this model. It was bonkers light without really any aftermarket bits. Current bike is about 12 pounds with the current pricey parts 😉 New and old below:
Cool design on the dial. Is that a famous graffiti artist or something?
It’s a character called Loook , who always seems fascinated by the world around him. developed by a somewhat famous Thai graffiti artist who is colour blind, but famous for his use of colours 😲

I'm quite sure I've seen it before as I go to Thailand a lot for work and pleasure. V cool. You have lots of Asian influence. I guess bc of the wifey (you somehow knew all of these japanese characters in your GS post/comment somewhere) and your general interest!

Yes, given some international fame, I think 'Benzilla' probably a bit of a local legend at home. I backpacked around Thailand decades ago, as well as Malaysia and a few other parts of Asia. Lived about a decade in Japan as well, and that's where wifey come from. We may move back there sometime in the next few years 🤔
So, I'm decent at speaking/reading Japanese... but stink at French (a Canadian official language) and speak no Mandarin despite that being that being Vancouver's official unofficial language 🙄 How my hometown has changed since I was a kid!!!

Ah that makes sense now. Hongcouver is how some locals described it to me once. I lived in Hong Kong for about 4 years.
I would've loved to live in Japan even for a short while. Lucky man!
